Electrical System Upgrade Information

Areas of Atkins are designated for Electrical Power System upgrades as part of the Alliant Energy program to replace overhead wires with underground equipment for electrical system distribution. The project primarily effects the older areas of the city. The project will provide benefits of a reliable electrical delivery system within Atkins. This project has been on-going for several years and will resume soon. Alliant Energy has contacted the homes and business effected by this project.  If you have questions about this program, Alliant Energy has provided a contact source for you.

Job Opportunity – Deputy Clerk

The City of Atkins, Iowa is seeking a candidate for the position of Deputy Clerk, part time 30 hours per week.

Office equipment, accounting, customer service, computer software skills required. Work location is City Hall of Atkins Iowa. Equal Opportunity Employer.

This report is updated annually and contains important information regarding the water quality in Atkins Municipal Water System.

City Council Meetings

Note: Council meeting date and time have changed.

The Atkins City Council voted to set the meeting day and time to the second and fourth Tuesday of the month at 6:30 pm.  Location stays the same, Atkins City Hall, 480 Third Avenue, Council Room.
