Overview
The Board of Adjustment consists of five members who must be residents of Atkins. Members are appointed by the Mayor, approved by the City Council and serve 5-year terms.
Areas of Focus
Reviews appeals of the Zoning Ordinance and the Sign Ordinance
- Appeals may be requested due to special exceptions in the Ordinance, differences in interpretation, or requirements that create a hardship on the property owner.
- Reviews requests for uses that are conditionally permitted
